I noticed my ipod photo cash was taking up 15 GB of space and I noticed it but I never wanted to get rid of it cause I t hought it would screw things up, but now that i know it didn't it made my comptuer so much faster with getting that much space back! Thank you so much!

Do you have any knowledge or experience with macs running OSX 10.5. in which the HD is filling by virtue of some sort of alien replicating inside the drive? I have cleaned my HD, reinstalled the system twice, gotten a new computer once and it continues. Obviously the problem is somewhere in my data. I have mostly restored each time from my time machine. I should say that I personally have not done these sweeps. They have been done by the Mac "geniuses". Now I am going to get to the bottom of this myself. Any suggestions?

That's excellent advice. I saved almost 2 gigs after deleting firmware updates alone.

I also really liked your Spotlight mini tip. One of the things I most want to use Spotlight for is to search System Files and the like, but Spotlight won't do it by default. It would be great if you could make this a permanent preference and be able to search System Files from the menubar.

Cheers.
